Grosafe Enspray 99 Oil is a Biogro-registered organic. It is the finest high-tech mineral oil available to home gardeners. It provides very good control of aphids, thrips, whitefly, mites, scale, and mealy bug.
Historically, the main use has been as a clean-up spray for overwintering forms of insects on deciduous fruit trees, However this high-grade oil is safe to use on most crops for control of sucking insects. It has proven effective for control of whitefly on citrus.
It is not a poison and kills by smothering action.

Grosafe Free Flo Copper is a high-grade form of copper hydroxide, especially developed for control of PSA in the Kiwifruit industry. Grosafe Free Flo Copper is used in a number of situations.
- Winter – early spring application to pip and stone fruit as a protectant spray.
- For diseases of sub-tropical fruits – avocado, citrus, passionfruit.
- For control of blights, leaf spots and downy mildew, plus bacterial spots of tomatoes, potatoes, celery, beans, peas, and strawberries.
- Leaf spots and downy mildew on roses and ornamentals.
Grosafe Free Flo Copper is a fine, dispersible granule which pours freely and can be measured like a liquid. 5 grams equals 5mls.

- By far the most cost effective copper product available to home gardeners.
Yates Success Ultra is based on an extract from a naturally occurring soil bacteria. It is of very low toxicity.
Success Ultra provides excellent control of chewing insects such as white butterfly caterpillar, diamond back moth, leaf rollers and other caterpillars, cherry pear slug, plus codling moth. It also controls thrips, leaf miners, and psyllids.
For a broader spectrum of control – the above insects plus aphids, white fly and mites – Yates Mavrik is a good alternative.

Yates Mavrik is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide (man’s copy of the natural pyrethrum). It is of low toxicity, much more effective than natural pyrethrum and safe to beneficial insects such as bees once the spray has dried on the plant.
Mavrik controls most insects – aphids, whitefly, thrips, passion vine hopper, psyllids, mites, cherry pear slug, white butterfly caterpillars, diamond back moth, leaf roller, and other caterpillars. It does not control mealy bug or scale.
It controls the broadest range of any home garden product. For close-to-harvest spraying, use Naturally Neem for sucking insects and Success Ultra for chewing insects.

Tui Quash is based on the common garden fertiliser – chelated iron. It is of very low toxicity, safe to use where pets roam, and breaks down into fertiliser.
Not as fast acting as metaldehyde baits such as Blitzem, or as long lasting as Baysol, but provides good control with total peace of mind.

Naturally Neem is based on an extract from the neem tree (azidirachton) which has insecticidal properties.
Naturally Neem controls most common sucking insects in the garden – aphids, thrips, mites, white fly, psyllids, mealy bug & scale. It does not control caterpillars or beetles. Naturally Neem is safe to bees once the spray has dried on the plant. Do not spray when bees are present and active.
In most situations, Enspray 99 Oil is more cost effective. However Naturally Neem has a place where there is a heavy infestation and complete coverage with Enspray 99 Oil spray is more difficult and is sometimes softer on plants with tender foliage.

Yates Fungus Fighter is a modern systemic fungicide that provides the best control of black spot and powdery mildew available.
It is approved for pip fruit, grapes and all ornamentals. Excellent for black spot and powdery mildew on roses. The downside is that it does not control the many other diseases that ornamentals gets, in particular downy mildew, leaf spots, blight, botrytis or rots.
For use on food crops use Grosafe Free Flo Copper.

Botry-Zen is a powdered form of Ulocladium oudemansii – a natural fungus which colonises the fruiting area preventing pathogenic rotting fungi or bacteria from establishing. Non-invasive and causes no damage to live plant tissue.
Botry-Zen is effective against botrytis, sclerotinia and brown rot fungal diseases plus some bacterial diseases such as PSA. Approved for use on berry fruit, stone fruit, grapes, avocados and kiwifruit.
An excellent option for edible food crops and situations where Fungus Fighter is unsuitable to use.
