Stunning, deciduous dwarf shrub with glossy leaves, growing to approximately 60-80cm. Bright, orange-red flowers appear in late spring and summer, followed by spherical red fruits in autumn. Harvest late autumn. Self fertile. Dwarf pomegranate fruit tends to be seedier, with less pulp, than other pomegranate varieties. Delicious in cool drinks, jellies, sauces and sweet and sour cooking. Loaded with antioxidants! Rich in vitamin C, potassium and fibre.

Plant in a warm, sheltered site in full sun. Tolerant of most soil types, but prefers heavy soils. The pomegranate thrives in hot, dry summers but requires moisture during fruiting stage from late summer to autumn. Lightly prune to desired shape and encourage new growth. Fertilise in spring.
