Prunus Kanzan 1.8m Standard
$81.99
Prunus serrulata ‘Kanzan’ (Japanese Cherry)
Deep-pink buds open to large, fully-double, pink flowers held in drooping clusters during October. Bronze leaves emerge with the flowers to contrast nicely, later turning vibrant orange and bronze in autumn. Young trees have a narrow, erect, vase-shaped growth habit, but spread out as they mature. Great for lining avenues and driveways. Grows approximately 6m high x 4m wide. One of the wind-hardiest flowering cherries.
Full sun. Will grow in any well drained soil. Wind and frost hardy. Tolerates drought once established.
Grafted at a 1.8m standard. This means the plant has a 1.8m tall trunk before it begins branching out.
