Protea magnifica ‘Fiery Sunset’
A Protea magnifica hybrid, which will spread wider than it will get high. The flowers are mid to large in size with dark red bracts and a deep burgundy-red central flower mass. It is a free flowering plant over a long period from late summer to spring. A plant suitable for all types of landscape uses. The flowers are also useful for picking. Grows approximately 1.5m high x 2-3m wide.
An adaptable Protea that will grow in most well drained, acidic soils in an open, sunny position. Water deeply during prolonged periods of drought while young. Tolerant to light frosts and suitable for coastal conditions. Prune back after flowering.
