Philodendron selloum ‘Birkin’
A highly popular philodendron with fine, white striped variegation contrasting on luscious, deep green foliage. The variegation can fade away with age until the older, mature leaves are a solid dark green.
Philodendron Birkin grows best in a warm position with bright, indirect light to encourage increased and lasting variegation. Avoid direct sunlight as this will cause the leaves to burn. Keep soil lightly moist through spring and summer, allowing the soil to partly dry out between waterings in the cooler months. Apply a nitrogen rich liquid fertiliser fortnightly during the active growing period.
