Prunus persica – Peach ‘Hiawatha’ 

Fruit is purple skinned with orange flesh. Excellent fresh eating with good flavour. Regular cropper. Mid season variety – harvest January. Self fertile. It has beautiful deep purple leaves and puts on an attractive display of pink flowers in spring. Grows approximately 4m high x 3m wide.

Sunny, sheltered position in fertile, well drained soil. Tolerates light frosts. Protect from spring frosts while fresh buds are emerging. Water deeply during dry periods and fruit formation.
