Prunus persica – Nectarine ‘Snow Queen’
Highly regarded nectarine – incredibly popular due to being one of the sweetest and juiciest varieties. Mottled red and creamy-yellow skin with firm, snow-white flesh underneath. Large, freestone, and fantastic eating. Early season, ripening December-January. Self-fertile. Deep pink blossoms in spring. Grows approximately 5m high x 3m wide.
Sunny, sheltered position in fertile, well drained soil. Tolerates light frosts. Protect from spring frosts while fresh buds are emerging. Water deeply during dry periods and fruit formation.
