Melicope ternata (Wharangi)

Forms a rounded, large bush of shiny, lime-green leaves. Grows well in sandy soils sheltered from the worst of the coastal winds. Tolerates light frosts. Shining black seeds in clusters are a feature over late-summer. Grows approximately 4m high x 3m wide in 10 years.

Best in warmer climates and sheltered coastal sites.
