Magnolia x ‘Star Wars’

Bushy, upright, compact grower. A profusion of large, rose-pink buds open out to fragrant, wide, broadly-petalled stars of firm texture. Flowers from an early age in spring. Excellent street tree. Grows approximately 5m tall x 4m wide in 10 years.

Full sun position with rich, moist, well drained soil that doesn’t dry out in summer. Benefits from mulch and regular feeding. Magnolias need to be sheltered from strong winds and frost in spring, where this can damage flowers and new growth.
