Lemon Villa Franca Var 25L

$139.00

A true lemon variety with a sharp, sour taste and juicy, almost seedless fruit. Fruit is bright yellow with faint green striping. Ripens in April through July, developing a better flavour as the season progresses. Foliage is mid-green with generous creamy-gold variegation across the whole plant. Fragrant, creamy-white flowers in summer and leathery, evergreen foliage on an almost thornless plant. Very appealing specimen plant. Grows well in a large pot or container. Grows approximately 3m high x 2m wide.

The good, cold hardy lemon variety, perfect for NZ conditions. Protect from frosts while young, more tolerant once established and when mulched well. Ideal in a full sun position with fertile, well drained soil. Heavy feeder requiring a high nitrogen fertiliser through spring and summer. Water regularly during fruit development in hot, dry spells. Prune in spring.
