Deutzia gracilis ‘Nikko’ (Slender Deutzia)
A low-growing, deciduous shrub which forms a mound of pale green foliage in autumn. In spring, a mass of starry, white flowers appear. Lovely, fine, green foliage takes on an attractive burgundy shade in autumn. Ideal for use as a ground cover, for rockeries, and borders. Grows approximately 60cm high with a spread of 120cm.
Best grown in a sunny to partly shaded position with moist, well drained soil. Tolerant of drought once established, and grows in most soils including clay. Frost hardy and coastal tolerant. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain compact, bushy growth.
