Betula pendula ‘Alba’ (Silver Birch)

NZ’s favourite specimen tree. Delicate, lacy, green leaves on arching branches give a very soft, graceful effect. The silver-white bark is an added bonus with stunning autumn colouring. Looks wonderful planted in groups. Very hardy, deciduous tree. Grows approximately 8m high x 3m wide in 10 years.

Will grow in full sun or light shade. Prefers moist but well drained soils and tolerates poor soils.
