Deciduous Azalea. ‘Carmen’ flowers are a soft orange, flushed apricot and pink with a golden flare. Early flowering with ball trusses. Grows approximately 2m.

Prefers full sun but will grow well in partly shaded positions. Requires well-draining, rich, acidic soil. Fully hardy and tolerant to frosts. Water regularly during hot and dry periods. Fertilise in spring with acid fertiliser and mulch with organic material. Prune for shape if needed, and deadhead old buds to encourage new growth next season.
