Clianthus puniceus (Red Kaka-Beak)

New Zealand native. Soft, sprawling shrub with fine, light green, pinnate leaflets. Large, red, bird-attracting, parrot-beak flowers produced in mass through spring and autumn. Grows approximately 2m high x 1.5m wide.

Full sun to part shade position in well drained soils. Tolerant of poor soils and coastal conditions. Prune after flowering.
