Deep red buds open to magnificently large, vivid rose-red, peony-style blooms with a lovely, light fragrance. Free flowering mid-season; late winter through spring. An upright, evergreen shrub with a vigorous growth habit, growing approximately 2.5m tall x 2m wide. Glossy, deep green foliage. Ideal for screens, hedging, large containers and espalier.

Provide a sunny or partly shaded position in well drained, slightly acidic soil. Mix soil through with organic matter for best results. Protect from strong winds. Keep moist in especially hot, dry weather and mulch to keep roots cool. Can be lightly trimmed in spring.
