Whanganui Intermediate School
We participated in the School Vege Challenge last year and it was a great way to get the kids interested in our school garden.
We participated in the School Vege Challenge last year and it was a great way to get the kids interested in our school garden.
We’d love to develop a full program – composting, planting, harvesting, cooking, sharing kai and plants with whanau etc.
The students of Whanganui Collegiate School are looking forward to the School Vege Challenge.
Children will be taught to look after and nurture the garden. They can learn about different types of vegetables and what they can be used for.
Our students are already brimming with great questions like, “How can we tell if it’s a slug or caterpillar eating the plants?”
We don’t yet have a school vege garden at Durie Hill School so this is a great opportunity for us to get started.
