School Vege Challenge 2023

Harvest Time & Judging

A great, healthy little garden, well cared for and loved. They’ve been using their own worm tea as a fertiliser which has certainly proven success!
We had a good discussion on next steps and gave some advice on growing potatoes in pots and expanding to include a vertical wall garden. They might grow out of this space soon, but it’s manageable at present.

Mid Challenge Update

Mosston school has a great little garden in a good location. The students water and weed on a roster every day. The dedication shows, as they have very healthy plants. Seed growing has not been done yet but they will start soon for a new step in their gardening adventure.

Getting Going

We won the competition in 2021 and would love to participate again. We have a great group of students who are keen gardeners and love tending to our vege garden!
