Marton School
School Gardening Partnership 2025
February Update
Marton School has had success with a few beds of pumpkin plants grown by their junior students. Peach, fig & lemon trees are setting down roots so we hope for a joyous harvest come fruiting time! Below is the herb garden they established November 2024. The plants are certainly flourishing now.
Marton School received some new vegetable seeds & seedlings, fertiliser, and pansies to focus on for the next season.

September – Getting Going
“We are an enviro-school and as part of that we have a vegetable garden, compost and nursery. We have a 2yr old orchard with trees we purchased from Springvale Garden Centre.
In 2025 we really want to develop a programme where all our children learn about growing vegetables, fruit and berries.”
