Beautiful shrub, broad spreading, horizontally branched. Deeply veined, dark green leaves which turn purple-red in autumn before dropping in winter. White, lace-cap clusters of flowers are borne along the length of the branches in spring and are spectacular, followed by red berries. Great plant to soften vertical elements and upright plants. Grows approximately 2 x 2m.
Semi-shade position. Grows in most soil types. Best in good, loamy soil that retains moisture. Hardy.
