Viburnum opulus ‘Sterile’ (Snowball Tree)

Everybody loves the ‘Snowball Tree’! So named for the fat, round flower heads that appear in spring. These start off a soft lime, green, gradually turning snowy-white with a soft hint of blush-pink upon maturity. Robust, upright grower with arching branches. Green, maple-like leaves turn intense purple in autumn. Deciduous. Grows approximately 4m high x 2m wide.

Easy to grow in sun or part shade in the garden. Prefers well drained soil but will tolerate wet and boggy situations. Prune in winter and after flowering to maintain a good shape.
