Small tree which makes an attractive specimen plant, or can be used as screening and hedging. Rich copper young growth maturing out to glossy, dark green foliage. Produces small, white flowers in spring followed by magenta-red berries; edible if you can beat the birds to the crop! Grows approximately 5m high x 4m wide in 10 years but trims down well for hedging.
Prefers full sun in well-drained soil. Shelter from heavy winds and frosts. Tolerates droughts and coastal conditions once established.
