Daikon radish is popular throughout Asia for condiments, pickling, fermenting, relishes, stir-fries and salads. Crunchy raw Daikon has a sweet and lightly spicy flavour, and is milder than a standard red radish. The flesh becomes tender and mellow-tasting after cooking. Use the greens to add peppery, pungent flavour.
