Sedum spathulifolium ‘Purpureum’

This well-behaved Stonecrop species in an excellent edging or rock garden plant, particularly for hot, dry sites. It forms a slow, slow-spreading cushion or carpet of powdery, purple-green leaves, ideal for use as groundcover. Bright yellow, starry flowers appear in late summer. A great little plant for pots and often used for miniature gardens. Really easy to grow. Grows approximately 10cm high with a spread of 30cm.

Best grown in full sun with well drained soil. Should be protected from hard frosts and excessive wet weather. Can be trimmed back after flowering to keep compact.
