Salvia officinalis (variegated)
Sage is traditional addition to stuffing for poultry and pork, and in sausages. It also adds flavour to cheese dishes and herb butters. As a tea, it is a general tonic, aiding digestion, relieving coughs and colds, and enhancing concentration. As a gargle, it helps soothe and disinfect sore throats and ulcers.
