Rose Bush – Spirit of Hope
Hybrid Tea. The official rose of the NZ Red Cross. Beautiful, velvety, true red blooms of good form. Long-stemmed and great for cut flowers. Produces good trusses of medium-sized flowers on a very robust and healthy shrub. Grows approximately 1.5m high x 1m wide.
For best results plant in a sunny or lightly shaded, airy position in any well drained soil. Keep well watered in drier weather and avoid wetting foliage excessively as this can encourage disease. Mulching is beneficial. Fertilise late winter through summer. Prune hard in winter.
