Rhododendron ‘Irene Bain’

Pink buds open to a pale pink, changing to cream centres with a frilly pink edge in tight, round trusses. White indumentum under the leaves. Very nice compact, tidy growing yakushimanum hybrid. Mid season. Grows approximately 1.4m.

A sunny position with part shade is ideal. Plant in well drained, moist, acidic soil. Keep well watered through hot, dry periods. Mulching is beneficial. Fertilise with acid food spring through autumn.
