Wide, funnel-shaped flowers are a strong reddish-purple with a deep purplish-red blotch and lighter centres. Held in ball-shaped trusses of 10-12 flowers. Very hardy and heat tolerant. Mid-late season flowering. 1.6m.

A sunny position with part shade is ideal. Plant in well drained, moist, acidic soil. Keep well watered through hot, dry periods. Mulching is beneficial. Fertilise with acid food spring through autumn.
