Prunus yedoensis ‘Mountain Ice’ (Yoshino Cherry)

Masses of pendulous, white flowers cover the gently-arching branches in early-spring. Forms a tidy, rounded tree. Has an upright-growth pattern when young, developing more of a slightly draping, horizontal shape with maturity. Autumn colours are orange, red, and yellow. Grows approximately 6m high x 5m wide in 10 years.

Plant in full sun. More of a wind-tolerant variety than other flowering cherries. Don’t allow them to dry out during hot dry periods. Stake well until established.
