Erect, bushy shrub with long, ovular, mid-green leaves. Pea-like, rich mauve-purple flowers appear on the tips of the stems in clusters late winter through summer and autumn. Useful shrub for fairly constant blooming. Very showy. Excellent for use in pots. Grows approximately 1 x 1m round.
Best grown in a warm, sunny position with well draining soil. Avoid cold, frosty sites. Will grow in almost any soil, however looks best in well fertilised good soil. Best to trim the long stems back annually to maintain a dense, bushy shape. Avoid harsh cut backs.
