Podalyria calyptrata ‘Nixon’s Fancy’ (Sweet Pea Bush)
A large, rounded, evergreen shrub with ovular, silvery-green leaves. Young growth is velvety. Sweetly scented, pale pink to mauve, sweet pea flowers in spring. Can be trimmed back to a small bush of 1x1m, or trained to shape as a small tree. Grows approximately 2-3m at full size.
Prefers a sheltered position in full sun to partial shade with loose, well-drained, lightly acidic soil. Drought tolerant but performs best with moist soils. Hardy to light frosts.
