Prunus salicina – Plum ‘Satsuma’

Medium-sized, blood-red plum with sweet, juicy, red flesh. Mid season – harvest February. Ideal for eating and bottling, jams, jellies, etc. Partially self fertile – cross pollinate with Black Doris or Hawera for improved yield. Grows approximately 5m high x 3m wide.

Full sun position with well drained soil. Frost hardy. Protect from wind to promote a better yield. Fertilise in spring and summer. Benefits from mulch.
