Tall, narrow, pyramidal conifer with stiff branches that droop. Blunt, needle-like foliage that has tones of blue when young, maturing to dark green. Popular as a Christmas tree while young. An excellent alpine tree and works well in shelter-belts. Hardy. Evergreen. Grows approximately 6m high x 3m wide in 10 years, reaching an ultimate height of around 35m.
Full sun to partial shade. Tolerates most soil types. Hardy to wind and frosts.
