Phylica plumosa (Feather Flower, Flannel Flower)

Evergreen shrub native to South Africa with attractive, downy foliage. In late winter, long-lasting, feathery, creamy-yellow flowers are carried at the tip of the stems. Highly valued cut flower, both fresh and dried. Great for use in sunny garden beds and large containers. Grows approximately 1.5m high x 1.2m wide.

Requires a sunny position. Prefers a well drained sit and is not tolerant of wet feet. Tolerates mild frosts and drought once established. Ideal for coastal gardens and hot, dry areas. Prune lightly after flowering.
