Phormium cookianum ‘Waitara Gold’ (Flax, Harakeke)

A strikingly handsome flax with brilliant golden leaves. This flax will certainly make a statement wherever it is placed in the landscape and would look particularly good lighting up shady corners. Will grow approximately 1m high x 1m wide.

Hardy and tolerant of just about all garden conditions. Full sun to part shade. Performs best in damp, well drained soils with mulch in summer to keep roots cool, but will tolerate other conditions including wet soils. Suitable for windy and coastal conditions. Frost hardy.
