Phormium cookianum ‘Jack Spratt’
A delightful, very dwarf form of flax with upright, strappy, bronze-green foliage. As the foliage matures the occasional leaf will come through with a twist up the length, adding an interesting look to the plant. Flower stems will emerge in spring with masses of summer flowers of orange and yellow. Attracting Tui and Waxeyes to the garden. A hardy, New Zealand native flax. Grows approximately 75 x 75cm.
Best planted in full sun or part shade. Tolerant of most soil types and conditions. Wind and frost tolerant. A very hardy plant requiring very little care. Apply mulch in summer to keep root system moist. Remove finished flower stems at the end of summer.
