Prunus persica – Peach ‘Black Boy’ (Sanguine)

Port-wine skinned, medium-sized fruit with white flesh, partially toned wine-red. Fragrant, juicy, delicious flavour with melt-in-your-mouth flesh. A popular variety for eating fresh and bottled. Late season – harvest February. Good home garden tree. Resistant to leaf curl. Grows approximately 4m high x 3m wide.

Sunny, sheltered position in fertile, well drained soil. Tolerates light frosts. Protect from spring frosts while fresh buds are emerging. Water deeply during dry periods and fruit formation.
