Michelia yunnanensis ‘Velvet and Cream’

A slow growing, small, compact, evergreen tree. It produces velvety, brown buds in spring followed by large, rounded, perfumed clusters of creamy white, 10cm flowers in summer. They have prominent yellow stamens. A most exciting, sought after shrub. Grows approximately 3 x 3m in 10 years. Clips well into a hedge.

Full sun position with, well drained, moist, acidic soil. Protect from heavy frosts.
