Dense, slow-growing, large shrub or small tree with small, glossy, dark green leaves. Highly ornamental with port wine perfumed and coloured blossoms produced spring through summer. Purple-brown flowers. Excellent hedging plant. Grows approximately 2.5m high x 2m wide.
Prefers a part shade position with well drained soil. Protect from heavy frosts. Suitable for coastal conditions. Drought tolerant once established.
