Loropetalum chinensis ‘Purple Pixie’ – Chinese Fringe Flower
A dwarf, cascading groundcover variety that produces rich purple foliage and attractive pink flowers throughout spring. Wonderful for adding a colour contrast to your garden. Performs well in garden beds as well as in tall pots that allow it to cascade over. Grows approximately 40cm high and spreads up to 1.5m wide.
Grows well in full sun to part shaded positions. Tolerates a wide range of soils, but it needs to be well-draining. Will tolerate frost and humidity and short periods of drought once established. Benefits from watering during dry periods. Prune regularly to encourage new growth and maintain shape.
