Winter Rose – Helleborus niger. ‘White Magic’
Commonly referred to as the Christmas Rose, ‘White Magic’ has large, pure white flowers with a green eye on thick, tall stems that push the flower well above the leaves. As the flowers age, which may also coincide with fertilization, they turn pink. Outstanding, winter colour for decorative containers, and gardens large or small. Grows approximately 40-50cm high x 50cm wide.
Prefers a full to part shade position with well drained soil. Take care not to allow soil to dry out completely, particularly when grown in full sun or pots. For best results, feed in late autumn and spring with a slow release fertiliser, before and after flowering.
