A popular NZ selection, and one of the best known varieties for table grapes. A prolific producers of very sweet, black grapes with a good, traditional flavour. Tough skin and does contain seeds, but has very good disease resistance. Mid season, harvest March-April. Moderately vigorous, hardy, woody deciduous vine. Grows approximately 3.5m high x 2m wide.

Plant in a sunny, well draining soil with good, strong support structure. Prune end of winter to allow airflow and combat mildew. Fertilise in early spring. Cold hardy and disease resistant.
