Genista spachiana ‘Yellow Imp’ (Yellow Broom)
A fast growing, compact, bushy shrub that produces golden, pea-like flowers from late spring through summer. Adds a bright colour spot to your garden to compliment other plants or as a focal point in the spring. Quick to establish so makes an ideal screen. Attractive to bees, beneficial insects and birds. Grown in a standard form atop a 70cm tall stem. Foliage grows out to a rounded bush approximately 1-1.5m. Prune to shape.
Prefers a position with full sun and well drained soil, but will grow in part shade. Drought hardy and withstands wind. Trim after flowering to encourage further blooms in autumn. Feed regularly with a general garden fertiliser.
