Gardenia augusta ‘Veitchii’ 

Rounded, evergreen shrub with glossy foliage and large, double, highly perfumed, white flowers. Flowers appear from spring to summer. Perfect as a container plant and fantastic in the garden. Ideal placed near windows and doors where the perfume can be enjoyed. Grows approximately 1 x 1m ball of foliage.

Full sun to part shade position. Prefers rich, slightly acidic, free draining soil. Water thoroughly through dry spells. Mulching is beneficial. Tolerant of light frosts.

This plant is grown as a topiary standard – with a tall, bare stem and a rounded, shapeable ball of foliage at the top.
