An elegant, deciduous tree with narrow leaflets of dark green that have an overall soft, lacy effect. In autumn, the leaves turn a deep claret-wine colour before falling. Nice, upright plant with a pyramidal form, which will fit into limited space. Grows approximately 8m high x 5m wide in 10 years.

Full sun. Prefers a fertile, well-draining soil, but quite tolerant. Good for exposed positions, including coastal. Very hardy and generally easy care, if required a light prune can be done during winter.
