Grow as a compact tree in a container on the deck, espaliered against a fence or a large, sprawling tree for the kids to climb. Attractive, deciduous tree growing up to 5m in height and 4m wide.

Good crops of pear-shaped, purplish/brown-skinned fruit. Flesh tones range from white to amber-pink which is described as meaty, rich and sweet. Great, all purpose fig which can be eaten fresh, cooked, dried or preserved. Self fertile.

Full sun. Plant in warm, well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Figs require plenty of moisture during the growing season to enhance sweet, juicy fruit. Prune annually in late winter to maintain desired shape and size. Fertilise in spring. Frost tolerant. Very hardy variety which tolerates coastal conditions and drought.
