Dodonaea viscosa ‘Purpurea’ (Purple Ake Ake, Hopbush)

Small, quick growing, bushy, upright tree. Leaves are long, narrow and slightly waved with a bold, purple-bronze colour. Densely foliated. Attractive in pink flowers from late winter to mid summer. Produces purplish-red, winged seed capsules. Excellent grown as a hedging and screening plant. Grows approximately 3m high x 2m wide.

Full sun. Very tough, tolerating sub-zero temperatures, salt-laden winds, drought, and polluted atmospheres.
