Corokia Frosted Chocolate 2.5l

$18.99

Corokia x virgata ‘Frosted Chocolate’ (Korokio)

A native evergreen with dense, lightly haired, chocolate-bronze-green foliage on white stems. The darker chocolate colour comes through best in full sun, and the colours naturally intensify during cooler winter months. Produces fragrant, starry, yellow flowers in spring followed by reddish berries.

An increasingly popular option for hedging, borders and screens. The dense foliage screens noise quite well and offers good wind shelter. Easy care, low maintenance shrub which just requires occasional pruning to keep to shape. Grows approximately 2m high x 1.2m wide. Plant one per metre for hedging.

Prefers a position in full sun but will tolerate shade. It is suitable for almost all New Zealand soils and climatic situations. Performs very well in dry, windy locations. Tolerant of coastal extremes and frost.
