Cornus contraversa ‘Variegata’ (Wedding Cake Tree)

A spectacular specimen tree with a beautifully formal, tiered branching framework. Adorned with green leaves broadly margined with cream through spring and summer. Golden-yellow autumn foliage drops in winter, revealing red-toned stems. Summer bears a show of creamy-white flowers, followed by dark blue-purple fruit loved by birds. Slow-growing, deciduous tree. Grows approximately 5m high x 4m wide in 10 years.

Full sun  or a position with afternoon shade in the summer. Prefers rich, moist, well drained, acidic soils.
