Description
Large and firm, dark purple/black-skinned fruit with deep red flesh. Delicious eating cherry. Ripens approximately Christmas time (December, into January). Pollinators are Cherry ‘Lapins’ and Cherry ‘Compact Stella’. Upright, spreading tree growing approximately 4m high x 3m wide in 10 years.
Plant in a sunny, sheltered spot in free draining soil prepared with compost. Stake the tree to keep it secure until established. Apply ican Slow Food at the base when planting. Water well during prolonged dry spells and during fruit development. Frost hardy while dormant. Protect fresh buds from spring frosts.
