Camellia japonica ‘Tom Knudsen’

Large, informal double, peony blooms which are dark red with darker veining. Flowers mid to late season. Vigorous, evergreen shrub with compact, upright growth, growing approximately 2.5m tall x 2m wide. Thick, glossy, dark green foliage. Ideal for screens, hedging, large containers and espalier.

Provide a sunny or partly shaded position in well drained, slightly acidic soil. Mix soil through with organic matter for best results. Protect from strong winds. Keep moist in especially hot, dry weather and mulch to keep roots cool. Can be lightly trimmed in spring.
